Hi everyone,

I'm dealing with a strange issue where my Google Nest cameras and doorbell seem to lose or struggle with connectivity to the Google Home app. I have them connected to a mesh of 5 - XE75 Pro routers. My house and surrounding property is quite large, hence the number of routers. Over the last month or two, I've noticed that camera feeds don't load in Google Home, or they pop up as offline. I realize that Google Home is no stranger to issues, but This is a more recent issue. Here are some specifics on my troubleshooting:

1. Ran multiple speed tests with good results. Average of 900 Mbps while connected wirelessly to my main router. I have a 1.5 Gbps fibre connection.

2. Moved my Nest doorbell to an IOT network in Deco to force 2.4 GHz. Still having issues.

3. Turned off Fast Roaming and Beamforming. Still having issues.

4. Adjusted connection preferences to link various cameras to their closest router/AP. Still having issues.

5. Of note, I am using the Guest network for my kids and their friends in order to segment them from my devices and my wife's home business.

6. I've had the Decos for about a year. This wasn't always an issue. I previously used Google Nest WiFi which was stable for Nest device connectivity. I moved to Deco for the extra features in the app (some of which I have now disabled) and Nest WiFi had a weird bug where I had to reboot the mesh. Decos are working great for everything else: video and audio streaming is great, gaming is solid, all other smart home devices (non-video) are stable.

7. Lastly, I'm on the current firmware: 1.2.11

I'm curious if anyone else has seen a similar issue or if there's anything I've missed. Thanks in advance.

@ADP_PDA Could be the same 2,4Ghz channel issues many of us seem to be having, including me. 5Ghz etc is OK, 2.4Ghz performance is horrible and connectivity sketchy at best. Good news is, they improved it dramatically for me with a firmware update. Bad news - It's a support only tweak to a beta fw.

@pjs_gsy Thanks for the info. At least I can say that I'm not crazy. Hopefully that beta fw will make it to general release soon. Is it fair to say that you simply contacted support, and after some troubleshooting, they provided you with the beta fw? I may hold off and deal with the pain as I usually stay clear of beta releases for everything, but I may get frustrated and reach out to get the beta, if it's that simple.

@ADP_PDA Pretty much. It took a few days before they could schedule to remote in, but once in, he went there, took a look, uploaded the firmware, and was probably done in 10 minutes. I am pretty sure he'd obviously come across this one before, because he went straight to it. My network is not perfect, but at least it is usable now. Stable, for sure. My 2.4ghz ping times went from dropped/timeout/3000ms to ~10ms on average, so there is a huge difference. My buffering and dropping cameras have been OK since and the frame rate is much higher (due to better connectivity). All 2.4ghz stuff.
