Hello

On my newly purchased X60 system I can't see most of my IoT devices even though they are online.

The come online for a few minutes after I reboot the Mesh, then they disappear and are shown in "Offline clients".

Note: The WiFi is the same as I used before on my X20 where all IoT devices have been shown. I also tried resetting all Meshes without success.

Tue Jan 14 19:59:08 2025 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(CC-66-0A-77-C2-85) not found in arp table disconnect_counter=1

Tue Jan 14 19:59:08 2025 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(0C-DC-7E-2D-C3-90) not found in arp table disconnect_counter=2

Tue Jan 14 19:59:08 2025 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(E4-65-B8-6F-D7-F0) not found in arp table disconnect_counter=2

...and so on

I double checked and all those MAC addresses are those of IoT devices shown in "Offline clients" (even though they are online).

Is this "not found in arp" (no idea what that means) possibly related to the missing IoT devices in my X60 system?

Kind regards

Andreas

  @StA

Hi, Nice to see you again.

I also noticed you have updated the email with the senior engineers. Since the IoT devices are set with static IP addresses and are not assigned by the DHCP server, I think it is why the error "Client not found in arp..." would keep generating in the system logs.

Deco doesn't support IP&MAC binding. It can't associate the fixed IP address directly with a certain MAC address, and then create a valid profile in the ARP tables. I saw your other post about the auto reboot issue with Deco X60-https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/735544. I think the auto-reboot was somehow also related to the fixed IP addresses.

The constant reported error and the potential IP conflicts might crash the Deco X60.

Did the random reboot issue improve after you set the IOT devices with fixed IP addresses back to DHCP?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP the spontainous reboots are gone for now.
Only reboots are when setting a fixed IP in the Deco app. Don't know why, but my X20 didn't do that. Setting fixed IPs for around 25 outlets means 25 reboots in a row
