Suspected Jumbo Frame is limiting my Archer BE550 Router
Hi,
When I perform a file upload test on my private local network via cable using the 2.5Gbps ports, it does not exceed 50 MB/s. The download speed is correct at 254 MB/s but the upload speed does not exceed 50 MB/s. The test consists of: PC with 2.5 Gbps LAN connection -> BE550 router 2.5 Gbps port -> NAS with 5Gbps port. Result only 50 MB/s.
(CAT6 cables)
Doing the direct test without the router, I do get 254 MB/s for upload. I suspect that the Jumbo Frame is not correctly configured on the Archer BE550 router since the upload speed is consistently limited to 50MB/s. However, there is no way to modify this value at the BE550 router level. Do you know how?
For example, (without connecting the BE550 router) if I limit the Jumbo Frame at the network card level of the PC and the NAs to a value of 4000, then the upload speed is indeed 50MB/s. When I change it to 9000 then I can reach upload and download speeds of over 260 MB/s.
I'm talking about a private network environment, it has nothing to do with the Internet.
