Hi, I have a problem with my Deco x80-5g home internet if I use 5Ghz band. All devices do not have internet. 2.4 Ghz works fine, just relatively slow. I tried restarting the device, restoring the factory settings, nothing helped.

May I confirm some information to understand your situation better?

1. Does the Deco X80-5G work as 5G/4G router mode or wireless router mode?

2. If you only turn on 5GHz band of the main network, can all client devices connected to the Deco network but have no internet acess? Or even can not connect to wifi?

If you only turn on 2.4GHz band of the main network, all client devices can connect to the Deco network and get internet access, right?

3. Please turn on Guest network and turn on 5GHz band only, then connect your devices to it for a try.

4. What kind of client devices do you have? 

5. Please share the screenshots of the wireless settings on Deco app if possible.

6. Please change DNS following this guide for a try.

Hi,  thanks for the reply.

1. My deco works as a 4G/5G router.
2. I changed only the 5Ghz band in the settings and the internet started working on the devices. 

When 2.4Ghz is turned on, everything is fine and the Internet is available for all devices. 

When 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz are turned on, all devices can connect to wifi, but only those that support 2.4Ghz have internet, there is no internet on 5Ghz band.

3. I created a Guest network and everything works very well on this connection, even with 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz on at the same time. (at the moment this will be the main wifi network at home)

4. Phones, laptop, TV, several smart home devices, etc.

5. For some reason the app doesn't allow me to take a screenshot

6. I changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but it didn't change anything and the problem is the same.

 

Summary - everything works great on the Guest network. On the main wifi network, it works with only one particular band turned on.
