Good morning,

 

Is it known if there are plans to launch a router similar to the Deco BE65-5G with an RJ11 port with support for VoLTE?


The Deco BE65-5G router is perfect as a Wi-Fi 7 solution for my home, it has three RJ12 Ethernet ports at 2.5 GBps, ports for external antennas and a WiFi Mesh system, but without native support for VoLTE. This is why my ISP does not allow me to change the router since VoLTE support is a requirement to be able to use another router other than the one provided by them.

 

I ask this because since the Deco X80-5g, a router from the Deco family with support for VoLTE has not been released. The Deco X50-5G was released in December 2022 but without an RJ11 port for VoLTE.
The only models launched after the one mentioned above, with support for VoLTE, have been the TP-Link NX510v and TP-Link NX620v, TP-Link NX220v, but I cannot purchase this family of routers as a user, since they are for ISPs.

 

All this leads me to wonder if they will continue releasing routers from the Deco family with support for VoLTE or if this feature will be exclusive to the NX family of professional routers.


I would like to purchase a router with Wi-Fi 7, support for VoLTE, three or two 2.5Gbs Ethernet ports and support for WiFi Mesh, but I have been waiting for more than a year and I see that the routers that are being launched on the market do not have a specific port for VoLTE, so I would like to know that information in order to look for other solutions or wait.

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

There hasn't been a plan to add the VOLTE feature on the WiFi 7 Deco models. I'll move it to the feature request list to see whether other users might have the same request.

 

Archer NX510v and NX620v are all service providers' models. They are often provided by the mobile ISP directly especially if the subscribed plan includes fixed voice service.

Deco BE65-5G as well as Deco X50-5G, are more like general 5G WiFi routers that haven't covered this specific requirement yet.

Okay, thank you very much for the information.

 

It's a shame that there are no plans to launch a router from the Deco family with Wi-Fi 7 and native support for VoLTE like the Deco-X80-5G, but at least they will take my comments into account for the possible inclusion of this feature in some future product of the Deco family, which is a pleasure.

 

If the VoLTE feature is not included in the Deco family, I will wait for the launch of some router from the NX family with Wi-Fi 7 and I will try to get it, since the NX family of products does have a specific port for VoLTE.
