TL-WPA4220 DHCP Lease time = 130 seconds

My log is full of SHCP requests with a lease time of 130 s
INFO 3days, 07:15:09, [dhcpc]DHCPC: Send REQUEST to server 192.168.1.1
2 INFO 3days, 07:15:09, [dhcpc]DHCPC: Recv ACK from server 192.168.1.1 with ip 192.168.1.100 lease time 130
3 INFO 3days, 07:16:16, [dhcpc]DHCPC: Send REQUEST to server 192.168.1.1
4 INFO 3days, 07:16:16, [dhcpc]DHCPC: Recv ACK from server 192.168.1.1 with ip 192.168.1.100 lease time 130
I saw an older discussion with did not end with a solution, hence me restarting this one.
- I upgraded to the latest sw (I think).
- I gave my WPA4220 a fixed address
- I set the DHCP server to "inactive" in the WPA4220 interface (even though I could not find infromation on what this does).
The log keeps growing and I have difficulties keep devices connected.
Any idea ?
Thank you.

Hi@Pascal05,
Here are some suggestions may help you:
- Disable save mode
You can disable it using the tpPLC utility. Refer to this FAQ for detailed instructions: How to enable/disable power saving mode on powerline adapters
- Check Lease Time Configuration:
The DHCP lease time of 130 seconds is very short. If possible, log into your ISP modem/router and increase the lease time to a more standard value (e.g., 24 hours). This will reduce the frequency of DHCP requests.
- Static IP Configuration:
You've assigned a fixed IP address to your WPA4220. Ensure that this IP is outside the DHCP range of your ISP's modem/router to avoid conflicts. For example, if your DHCP range is 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.100, you can set your WPA4220 to something like 192.168.1.200.
-
Reboot Devices:
After making changes to configurations, reboot both your ISP modem/router and the WPA4220 to ensure that all settings take effect.
-
Check for IP Conflicts:
Monitor the devices connected to your network to ensure no two devices are trying to use the same IP address. This can cause connectivity issues.
-
Consider Factory Reset:
If the problem persists and you have exhausted all options, consider performing a factory reset on the WPA4220 and reconfiguring it from scratch.
For TL-PA4010 (the models which start with TL-PAxxxx), press and hold the Pair button for 15s until all LEDs turn off and then come back on.For TL-WPA4220 (models beginning with TL-WPAxxxx), press and hold the Reset button for 10s. Release the button and all LEDs turn off. When the LEDs turn back on, the reset process is complete.

Hi Joseph, Thank you for answering my question. Some input
Since I use fixed addresses, the log is empty. It seems to have worked although I do not understand why the lease time was so short.
Note that just removing the DHCP of the TP device did not help.
I will consider this post closed (although i still have connection issues)
Thnak you.
