I have a Deco X60 which is connected to my WiFi mesh via WiFi. 
it's far from my main node so I would like it to connect to a closer node.
Unfortunately it's impossible to save the connection preference. 

Whenever I want to apply the config, I get an error message: impossible to save information. 
Does anyone know how to fix this please?

  @FredericNg It is same with my archer C54 since updating tp link tether app to 4.8.27 version, i can't change the WiFi range extender ssid anymore since the save button only circling all the time

I have seen this error message when there is Deco unit in Deco mesh which does not support Connection Preference feature. What else do you have in your Deco mesh? It'll help if you could share Update Deco screenshot from Deco app, here is an example:

It used to work previously.

All my nodes are X60

it stopped working recently after updates of thr app and firmware.

It would still be useful if you could share screenshot of that page.

 

In one case, powering off all Deco units and then powering them on restored some features missing. You should try that: not just reboot, but actually unplug the power, wait for minute or two, plug it back. Power off all Deco units, then power them on one by one.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

I happen to see you also submitted the Deco APP log.

Deco X60_V2_1.5.3 doesn't support setting the connection preference but Deco X60_V3 does.

There is a beta firmware for Deco X60_V2 which allows selecting the connection preference. Please find the beta version in the email and test whether it helps.
