Model: Archer VR2100v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.18.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 241018 Rel.43535n

I use my VR2100v with an ONT. Internet is working just fine but I can't get my telephone working. I have all the correct settings from my provider (Cable4 in Germany) but it can't connect. I get the following error messages:

account[MYNUMBER(0)] registration failed and register fail, response code(408)

I have tried everything from every guide in these forums and online. The only thing I haven't tried (because I can't or don't know how) is configuring VLAN settings for telephony. It's not in the firmware. My provider recommends the VLAN tag 200 for telephony but when I try entering it into my internet setting it doesn't connect to the internet anymore (seems to have dofferent VLAN tags for internet and telephony). No idea where or if I can enter a separate VLAN tag just for telephony.

Hello, i use the vr2100v with o2, and i had this problem to. To me was that i used the 1.1.1.1 dns instead the O2 dns. After i changed back to automatic dns provided from O2, it worked again. Check the login credentials for SIP as well. Username und password for the SIP telephone ist different from the login credentials for internet. I hope it helps.

@Daniel3355 Hi, thanks for you post. I tried changing the DNS settings but still no luck. I am using the SIP login details I got from Cable4 with all the right settings and ports but it still doesn't connect :(
