Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.6.1

Hello

I bought a X50 set of 3 Decos last week. But its more a downgrade to my X20 than an upgrade!

More than half of my IoT devices aren't shown as online (always shown as offline devices). I only get a maximum of 30 devices online at all from my 60 devices.

Sometimes it breaks internet connection at all and reboots or hangs, kicks out specific devices of my Smarthome... or whatever, I don't know.

So I replugged my old X20 set of 3 Decos again today and voila, 56 devices online and all reachable.

What's the matter with the X50?

Does it have the same CPU and RAM as the X20 and is simply overloaded with features and tools resulting in +90% CPU load and such bad experience?

Does anybody have more than 30 or even 50 devices online at the same time and shown in the overview of the app as online?

I sent the package back to Amazon today because of the - sorry - *** performance.

Was it a "monday product" or faulty?

PS: Only PLUS so far, the X50 delivered stable 250 MBit over fiber internet where the X20 only reaches 200 MBit in-house.

Update: My old X20 has a quadcore CPU - the X50 obly a dualcore CPU? Are thise specs right? That would at least explain the slow work 😉

  @StA

Hi, Thank you very much for the message.

Deco X60 would be a good choice. If Deco X60 is marked as "AX3000", it is very likely to be V3.

V1 and V2 were end-of-life for quite a long time. Both V3.2 and V4.2 are announced as  AX5400.

It would be better if you could find it in the local store as the hardware version is also printed on the box.

The latest firmware version 1.3.x for Deco X60 V3/V3.2/4.2 all supported the following listed features:

a separate possible IoT network - address reservation for fixed IPs

Best regards.

  @David-TP thanks! :)

So the X60 devices offered in the official Amazon TP-Link Store all should be v3 at least?

Both - the X60 AX3000 and newer AX5400 - have a Quadcore CPU?

I ordered 3 x60 AX5400 now, hardware version 3.2.

Weird thing but the firmware on the TP website for 3.2 is one year older than the firmware for 3.0 - did they really have the same features?

Can the hw 3.0 firmware also be flashed on the hw 3.2 devices? https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/734098

Thanks

@David-TP so one of the X60 3.2 AX5400 arrived today. And it is a hw version 4.2 which looks like an upgrade but what I found out the v4 hw versions have only a Dualcore CPU. And again - like the X50 - most of the IoT devices aren‘t shown online but are online. So the device iverview is completely useless. What can I do to get a working Deco device? It‘s not that funny sending everything back to Amazon 😡
