Model: Deco XE75 Pro
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Given recent issues (now seemingly fixed), and having read a bunch of posts here on the forum in researching the issue, it seems that, whilst DECO client has the optimise wifi channel function, this is perhaps largely useless as it only looks for other wifi networks (?), and not zigbee, cordless phones, and all the other stuff that interferes on 2.4Ghz especially.

So, a manual channel selection option is an absolute must. My personal DECO 2.4Ghz went from completely unusable to pretty decent, but only once an engineer manually changed the channels via firmware updates. This is not something that should require engineer support. It's not a solution to scan for other wifi networks on overlapping channels (though this is a nice feature), either.

Please add a manual Wi-Fi channel selection option. It's needed.

Hello, thank you for posting on the TP-Link community, and we certainly appreciate all your feedback and feature request(s) here.

While we don't have any specific details that I can share around if this feature can come to all Deco models, or when it might, I'll make sure to log this feature request and pass it along to the team.

Feel free to let us know of any other feature requests you may have, we’d be happy to send them up for you.
