Model: RE210
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 171205

Hey everyone,

I've recently decided to update the firmware of the TP-Link RER210 that was provided by my ISP as an wifi extender. It has been used in the Access Point Mode for a couple years now. I updated it to the last available version and the AP Mode is gone on the tplinkrepeteater.net website. I've been serching for a couple hours on the internet and my only guess is that it dissapeared because I updated to the latest US version instead of the EU version (where I live). Now I can't revert it back to any EU based firmware and the AP mode is missing on every US firmware I've tried. My only solution is to instal OpenWRT and attempt to then install the EU firmware but I have no clue how to do it and don't want to brick the device.

Has anyone had this issue before? If yes, how'd you fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Most probably your RE210 was with a customized FW from your ISP. So your best bet is to contact your ISP on this issue.

By default in Europe and US this RE model has only RE mode implemented - check the specs here.
