Not getting full speed via my internet provider through Archer AX11000
For some reason i cannot get full speed or close to it via my Archer AX11000 router. It's fully up to date, my ethernet cables are not damaged and when i test my speed through the hub my ISP provided me with it's got the 1gig speed. I've also not got Qos switched on, i have done speed tests with a borrowed switch (2.5gbps)/a network card (2.5gbps) and the highest i can get is 946. Without any of that and just using the router alone i get a mere 500mbps through Ookla/my ISP providers website. The speed is also the same on the Archer AX11000 home screen. Online i have seen people on my provider being able to get the 1gig speed through a router and i cannot. I've also done a speed test in Windows 10 with safe mode with networking just to see if any program i use throttles my speed and that isn't the case either. Thank you.

Hi @YNWAX6,
Could I confirm that when you test the speed of switch, is the switch directly connected to Vodafone-Box? When you test speed of the router, please check the link speed of LAN port and send results here.
Here are some steps to help troubleshoot the issue:
1. Please use https://www.speedtest.net or the speedtest APP/CLI(https://www.speedtest.net/apps) for testing speed accurately.
2. Please make sure the speed of your ISP/Modem is good by connecting a PC directly into the ISP Modem/Router.
3. To verify wired(Ethernet) speed of your Router, please connect the PC directly into the LAN ports of the Router, make sure all Ethernet cables are CAT5E and above.
4. When testing with wireless, please connect your phone/laptop to the high speed network (5G/6G) instead of 2.4G. In order to reach maximum throughput over wireless, put the phone/Laptop next to the Router.
Here are some tips which might improve the speed of your Archer Router:
1) If Ethernet speed is slower than expected, please try different Ethernet cables (CAT5E or above) on the Router.
2) Disable QoS, please access http://tplinkwifi.net and go to Advanced >> QoS to disable it.
3) Disable Parental Control, please go to Advanced >> Parental Control to disable it.
4) If wireless speed is slower than expected, please go to Advanced >> Wireless Settings to change the 5GHz Wi-Fi channel, you may try different channels to find the best one for your environment.
5) Disable SIP ALG and UPNP, please go to Advanced >> NAT Forwarding >> UPNP to disable UPNP, go to Advance >> Security to disable SIP ALG.
6) Try a few other speedtest servers, other servers might reach better speeds.

@Joseph-TP No parental controls are on, Qos has always been disabled, my speed is close to what it should be on 2.4/5 Ghz bands and i am on Virgin Media. The speed i get through my Hub 5 is what i would expect (just over 1gig). I have tried other cables including cat 6/7 and it can't seem to get remotely close to 950mbps without the 2.5gbps switch and the 2.5gps network card i borrowed from someone to try. When i am just plugged into my router i get about 500/600mbps, with the switch/network card i get up to 946. I will try disabling UPNP and see what happens. Thank you for the reply by the way and i have used my own ISP for the speed test as Ookla, fast.com and think broadband sometimes give odd results.

Hi @YNWAX6,
Thank you for your valued reply.
When you test speed of the router, please check the link speed of LAN port and send results here. As a last resort, have you tried resetting the router?
In addition, when you test speed of switch, did you remove the router AX11000?

@Joseph-TP My AX11000 needs to have an internet connection from my router, so i can't just plug in an ethernet cable from my hub to my router because i have no internet connection otherwise. I also had to factory reset my router at the time my Virgin Media Hub 5 broke, because i could no longer get an internet connection from my router after that. My speed through the cable should be 1gig, but i still have the 2.5gbps card installed and it says "2.5gbps" on Windows. I also tested it with 2500 full duplex, that didn't change anything either.

Hi @YNWAX6,
May I confirm your network topology again? Is the hub you mentioned Virgin Media hub 5? Or is it directly connected to the ISP's fiber hub?
If it is the latter, your network topology should be as follows:
ISP hub--Virgin Media--Archer AX11000
When you test speed of 2.5G switch/adapter, the network topology should be as follows:
ISP hub--Virgin Media--2.5G switch/adapter.
If the above network topology is correct, then you can compare the test results one by one:
1.ISP hub--Virgin Media, 1G wired speed
2.ISP hub--Virgin Media--Archer AX11000,500M wired speed
3.ISP hub--Virgin Media--2.5G switch/adapter, about 1G wired speed.
Can you provide the corresponding actual speed results and link speed test results based on the above topology? This will help us locate the problem more quickly.
In addition, please provide a screenshot of the speed on the Archer AX11000 home screen.
If it is inconvenient to provide the details here, you can email support.forum@tp-link.com, attaching Forum ID 733092 and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.
