Model: TL-PA4020P KIT
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.4.0.20-00-401115_191120_901

Hi,
I purchased a TL-PA4020P KIT to link a satellite streaming box (Humax) and OSMC streaming box (Rpi) to the home network instead of using Wifi.
It works fine most of the time, but intermittently drops the link for around 30 to 60 seconds causing the streaming sessions to hang.
I lose contact with both streaming devices at the same time and they come back online at the same time.
I have not noticed any of the 3 LEDs going out on the Powerline adapters so far.
One time I had tpPLC utility open when it dropped and it briefly only showed the central Powerline adaper.
The units are plugged directly in to the wall sockets and are about 10M apart (living room and hallway) and are on the same electrical ring.
There is nothing electrical switching at the time of the problem as far as I can see.
The firmware versions shown in the tpPLC utility are as follows:
TL-PA4020P = 1.4.0.20-00_402114_221020_902
TL-PA4010P = 1.4.0.20-00_401115_191120_901
I have tried disabling the power saving mode on both units, but this has made no difference.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Regards,

Jason

Hi  @jag4000

If you are experiencing an unstable internet connection on your TP-Link powerline devices, or the Powerline LED frequently turns off, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Move the powerline extender closer to the router and the powerline adapter. Placing them in the same room for testing.
    2. Test the internet connection by connecting your client devices directly to the main router. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the powerline connection or if it's a problem with the router itself.
    3. If the problem seems to be isolated to a specific client device, try connecting that device to a different network to see if the issue persists. Additionally, you can try using different Ethernet cables or ports for wired client devices to rule out any potential cable or port issues.
