Does anyone know where I can buy a BE65 Mesh system in UK which is definitely a v2 ?

Have recently taken delivery of a BE65 Mesh triple pack which I bought from John Lewis. Luckily haven't unwrapped from plastic wrap yet as will be returning. I found out only after purchase that this particular model comes in two versions v1 & v2 with the V1 lacking features of the v2 and being 'inferior' in hardware and functionality. I would go as far as saying it was marketed under 'false pretences' as being WIFI 7 as the v1 model doesn't have WIFI 7 on 2.4GHz as it only supports 2.4ghz 802.11b/g/n/ax whereas the v2 actually supports 802.11b/g/n/ax/be
The label on mine says v1. I refuse to shell out a significant amount of my hard earned cash for a product which for all intents and purposes has already been superceeded by a newer version of the same model. I really would like to purchase the v2 and am appealing to anyone who has managed to purchase the BE65 v2 model in UK , where did you purchase it from please ? Thank you.
Kind Regards

Hi, Thank you so much for your feedback! I believe many users may share similar questions.
Typically, the hardware version can't be predicted until you receive the product or purchase it from a local store, as the hardware version is printed on the label of the package.
Sometimes, the online product link might list some details that could help to identify the hardware version. For example, the Amazon product link here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/TP-Link-Deco-BE65-AI-Driven-Connectivity/dp/B0D54CYQQJ?th=1
Both 1 back and 3 pack used the following spec for Deco BE65(EU)_V1:
Thank you very much and best regards.

Thank you, and appreciate the clarification and help. However I have decided to return my BE65 and hold off from purchasing for now until I can identify a system that I can buy which 'guarantees' WIFI 7 compatibility on all bands.i.e 2.4Ghz 802.11b/g/n/az/be
It would be great if this could be a TP-link product like the BE65 but as you've highlighted its 'pot luck' which version I'll get when purchasing in the UK ( by the way surely TP-Link must know which versions they ship where ?). I purchased my previous ( still working) ORBI mesh system back in 2019 so as you'll appreciate I like to get good use out of my devices ! I really want to move to TP-link having done lots of research / watched numerous YouTube videos on various comparisons of Mesh systems etc but nowhere did it mention the BE v1 versus v2 hardware / functionality differences, which for me are too significant to overlook / ignore ( and I'd be constantly thinking about, feel gutted about) .
Thanks
Regards
p.s just as an aside do you have any Mesh systems which provides WIFI 7 on ALL bands 2.4, 5,6 GHz for sale in UK which have this functionality from v1 of the product ?

Same question, but for Germany. In fact, I'm wondering whether V2 is even available in Germany, because navigating to the German TP Link homepage only lists the V1 (whereas picking a different country results in a listing of either the V2, or both!). The only part giving me hope is that on the German site's support page, it provides downloads and documentation for both versions, and draws specific attention to the fact that two exist in the case of firmware. That said, this support page is curiously in English, so it may be that it's just a standard page for all country sites and has nothing to do with local availability.... Anyone in Germany successfully buy a V2?

@FTTP Although a few months down the line, the TP-Link webpage still says 'coming soon'. I guess it's time to ask 'what does soon actually mean in real terms?'
The BE65 Pro was my first choice for my new Mesh set-up - looks as though I will be going Netgear Orb instead (although I have heard the Amazon eero is getting good results). Had TP-Link in the past, love the brand, but with my internet contract ending soon I want to ensure the mesh is ready to receive my higher speeds; it looks as though the ability to release the BE65 Pro in the uk has missed the purchase window for me.
Wishing you the best of luck if you are still waiting. <0

@awp278 Thanks, TP-Link have missed purchase window for me too I've concluded I looked at the ASUS BT8,10, BQ16 Pro etc and came really close to pulling trigger but then saw privacy concerns raised about its reporting back to ASUS . I think I'll ending up like you getting ORBI again when I really / genuinely wanted to try alternative as I hate having to buy 'extras' which I feel should be included in the purchase price. What Orbi are you looking at , I have 1Gig internet at moment so 2.5 gig ports should suffice but keep thinking of future so tempted to have 10G ports too but is that just FOMO ? Also Orbi so so expensive but if I keep putting it off they will just get even more expensive with all that s going on now, what ORBI are you looking at and will you buy via Amazon UK or Netgear UK ? Thanks for answering really appreciate opinion of someone else in similar position. For context I'm using an Orbi AC1200 think its original RBK30 which I purchased like 5 years ago but max sppeds seem to be 750Mb it can handle on my system ( so losing alot of what I'm paying for as its 1Gig) . As part of my system upgrade looking at switching out my smart 1Gig switches ( don't know why i got smart as unnecesary for my use case) to 2.5 g capable unmanaged . All your advice appreciated. Thanks

@FTTP My choice is due to a big increase (65mbps to 1 gbps), a move from BT who I have my current mesh set-up with, and the want to future proof with what I purchase. Love looking up all the geeky stuff, but am certainly no expert.
If I am honest the 65mbps hasn't been bad - it's just we haven't been in the position to start 4k streaming etc (we've just been bimbling along waiting for BT to provide better value and they haven't). We have newer phones, getting newer TVs etc (doing that home/life improvement thing before I/we retire and whilst we're still earning (hence the want to future proof as much as possible)).
I guess I could go all out and get the best out there but having seen quite a bit of YouTube comparisons I've been impressed how well the BE65 Pro has done against Asus/Orbi/and other Decos. I can't predict the future, but for what I am going to get and thoughts towards future technology advancements, the BE65 seemed to hit the spot. One thing I also noticed was the wireless backhaul always did well on the Decos (as our mesh system will not be wired).
I think the nearest Orbi to the BE65 Pro that I was considering was the 770, which on Amazon doesn't seem too far from the BE65 (9300 - £519) at the moment (£700); I get that is a good £150 more - but I am expecting the Pro to be a little more expensive if/when it comes out. A guy called 'landpet' does some good comparisons on YouTube (not sure if I'm allowed to link here?), and I also looked at a number of other offerings. Most the wifi reviews are good, there doesn't seem to be the Samsung/LG/Sony biased there is when looking at what my new TV will be lol.
Hope that helps.

@FTTP Just a quick update - still seeing the BE65 Pro as 'coming soon' I have definitely looked for other options and the eero pro 7 is now my priimary option over the BE65 Pro; there are a few good reviews on YouTube with direct comparison reviews of both the BE65 Pro and eero pro 7 devices. The eero comes in 3 flavours eero 7, eero pro 7 and eero max 7 (being the highest spec).
