Model: Archer AX53
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.4

Hi,

I would like to block access to the TikTok website exclusively.

Here’s what I did:

  1. I created a profile, set the age restriction to 18+, and added "tiktok.com" and the word "tiktok" to the blocked list.
  2. I linked all laptops and phones to this profile.

Blocking TikTok seems to work well—tiktok.com is inaccessible. However, many other websites are now experiencing issues with loading content. For example:

  • Netflix doesn't work.
  • YouTube videos fail to load.

Could you please help me understand why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thank you,
Slawek

ps. In blocking history I see many urls related to logining like: google, apple, akamai and others.

Hi  @slawtul,

It seems that you have tried to reboot the router and the issue was resolved.

What you encountered may be a chance phenomenon. Because now it can be used normally.

You can go ahead and try it out, and if you find any other problems, you can contact us again. We will try our best to help you solve the problem.

Hi  @slawtul,

If you encounter a situation where a specific website is being blocked by the filtered content parental control feature, there are a few steps you can take:
    1. Review the block history. The Home Shield Parental Control could record the daily blocked history, you can open the Deco/Tether APP->Parental Control page to find the block history list,
    2. Add the website to approved websites: If you can find the related domain name in the block history page, tap on the "More" ->"three dots next to website" to add this website to approved websites.

If the issue persists, please help us collect screenshots of profile settings and APP log. I will contact you with your registered email address later. Please pay attention to your email box for follow-up.
