Hi,

I am currently using a VX230v as the modem router. It works fine and is connected to the internet. Its EasyMesh is enabled. I want to use this as the EasyMesh Controller and connect it to a range extender, RE315.

I added the range extender through the VX230v Mesh menu (by pressing the "Add Mesh Device" button). Then, the range extender is listed in the topology map (see image below)

However, the signal is weak despite the router and extender being close (less than 10cm). I searched the forum and turned off the “Band steering” option. Moreover, I turned off the 5 GHz network and repeated the setup (after resetting the RE), but there was still no communication between the devices.

Both devices are running the latest firmware version.

Is there any way to set up the EasyMesh network with VX230v and RE315 devices?
