This Article Applies to:
Archer AX53 V1
Archer AX58 V1
New Features and Modifications:
-
EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul
The new firmware introduces full EasyMesh support, enabling seamless integration between multiple devices for consistent coverage across your home. The addition of Ethernet Backhaul ensures more stable and faster connections by allowing mesh nodes to connect via wired networks, alleviating congestion on Wi-Fi bands and improving overall network performance.
-
VPN Client and WireGuard Support
This update adds VPN client functionality with the inclusion of the WireGuard protocol, allowing users to set up and manage their VPN connections directly from the TP-Link router. This enhances privacy and provides faster speeds for your internet browsing.
*Note: L2TP/IPSec client support is not included.
-
IoT Network Segmentation
A major addition to this update is the IoT Network feature. This allows you to manage your smart devices more effectively by isolating them from the main network. This improves both the security and performance of your network, keeping your primary network efficient and less congested.
-
Local DNS Server Configuration
With this update, users can now configure local DNS servers directly in the WAN/Internet settings page. This flexibility allows you to select DNS providers that best suit your privacy and performance needs, bypassing default ISP settings. This can result in faster browsing speeds and enhanced security.
-
Advanced AP Mode
AP mode now includes a range of advanced features, such as wireless scheduling, access controls, and enhanced device management. This gives users more flexibility to control their network setup, allowing for easy configuration of security settings, parental controls, and device monitoring, even in access point mode.
-
Flow Control Switch
For advanced users, a new Flow Control ON/OFF switch has been added under Advanced > Network > LAN > Flow Controller. This feature allows more granular control over network traffic management.
-
More Enhancements
- Enhanced device stability.
- Enhanced device security.
- Improved the accuracy of client identification with Fing Integration.

Please check if the PC can access the internet properly and obtain an IP address from the router automatically, if yes, this may have little to do with the router but you need to check some basic settings on the PC itself.
I found some suggestions online, you may search online to check if any would help solve the issue:

@Kevin_Z this screen of region appears when I do the quick setup, before the update it asks to me my region. Now only appears United States at the ending of setup... If it's not needed anymore them ok.
And hey, I think I solved the issue... I disabled upnp and changed my LAN IP, now the memory usage is 50~53% with 24h online...

Got it working, I reset the windows 11 network, rebooted and this PC shows up, rebooted the router and now both PCs are seen
I always wonder about all the router settings, so far mostly all default, I disabled WPS and Easy Mesh and turned off UPnP, that is about it, left everything else alone.
Thanks again

I cannot say for sure why disabling UPnP and changing the LAN IP of the AX53 helped resolve the issue in your network, but I'm glad to hear that you got it working.
Just let me know if there is anything new that comes up. Enjoy the internet.
