Hello !

@Kevin_Z

Did the Wireguard Server feature got tested for AX53 V1 ?

I have a very weird behavior when I try to setup the Wireguard server. Indeed, after the usual easy configuration and the profile export, my client apparently connects (It shows in the connection tab), but I can't reach anything from the client (at least it can't load any page, wether local pages or on the internet). But meanwhile, in a very weird manner, it looks like it can ping local and WAN ips when I try to do so from a cmd in my windows client or from pingtest app in my android client. Something to also note is that the pages I try to load always look like "they're trying to load something", but finally don't.

Thank you to help me if you're able to reproduce this behavior.

Could you please show me how you configured the WireGuard VPN Server on the AX53? Please email the VPN config to support.forum@tp-link.com for further confirmation. Thank you.

@mrtim What is the hardware version of your device? The official 1.3.1 version for Archer AX53 V1 has been released, please check for the updates on your device's web GUI or through the Tether App.

If your model is an Archer AX58 V1, you can download it from the link in my original post. This pre-release version works for both EU and US versions.

It's AX53(EU) Ver1.0 not using at the moment. I want to change to ONT and use this instead of ISP provided router.

Hopefully it will work well, need to stream on Wifi, adapter is Intel 6e AX211.

Just updated the router so ready to go when I get the ONT

@Kevin_Z Unfortunately it seems that I'm the only one who had problems with this update... Everything works perfectly, but the IoT network is not isolated from my local network. And my AX53, after two days crashes. The memory is 70%+ in use after 24 hours online (with only 7 devices connected), and after two days  everything freezes. The Wi-Fi stops working (can't connect) and cable too, I have to turn AX53 off and on again. It updated with tether app... What should I do to fix it? I tested turning off a lot of options to see what is causing that but the issue persist... The ONT of my ISP is in bridge mode and my AX53 is connected via dynamic IP and ipv6 in standard. I can share the log of 24h+ with 70%+ of memory usage in private

Edit: when i updated i was using AX53 in access point mode, I don't know if this information is relevant. I have AX53 V1 (US) and I don't know what is the firmware version before the update. I just bought it recently and received the update via tether when I'm doing the first settings.

Sorry about my English.

Are there other EasyMesh routers or extenders that connect to the AX53? Could you please provide the network topology showing how the routers are connected?

When the AX53 freezes, are you able to ping its LAN IP from the computer or phone connecting to its network?

Have you observed any activity that triggers the freeze or it just happens randomly?

Please try resetting it to factory defaults and reconfigure it from scratch, just configure the WAN internet, and don't modify other advanced settings including IPv6. Then monitor the connectivity for more than 24 hours.

BTW, the IoT Network is not isolated from the main network or Guest Network.

@Kevin_Z no, EasyMesh is disabled. AX53 is sufficient for my home.

About ping, yes but for a little time like 1 or 2 minutes. After that the connection drops completely, the led of Ethernet turn off automatically like I was removed the cable... And wifi can't connect, like I was enabled the Mac filter for everyone...

I think the memory gets fully because in two days, ever two days... The memory usage is in 87%+. I connect only 10 devices, I think the usage of memory is abnormal for that. And no, nothing specially freezes the router, only the time turned on.

Already tried restore to the factory but it keeps happening, a thing I've not tried was don't enable ipv6. I'll try. And another thing I forget to say is my wifi encryption is WPA3 only, all devices works well.

Edit: I can't change my region to Brazil, my router don't give me option anymore after update.

Well, I tried to reinstall the same version downloaded from the official website with two factory reset... Let me see if this will fix. If not, a workaround I found to "fix" is set auto reboot for every day and wait a new version.

Ps: I can't change my region to Brazil... In original firmware it was possible.

And about internet when it's freezing, first ipv4 stop working and after 2 minutes +/- the ipv6 stops too and freeze completely. Ipv4 and ipv6 are both in dynamic IP.

Or can I do a downgrade of firmware? Sadly I don't know what the version it came with... I bought it recently so this last update Is the unique update installed. I observed there are some issue with connections, for example when I search something on bing the icon/images of the results can't load... And discord can't load when I click on a notification, only if I force close And open again.. I don't know if my router got this issue when I updated or I bought with this..  I was using in AP mode because my old ISP don't allowed bridge mode so I change my ISP and now I have ONT in bridge but my AX53 with this problem...

On which page displaying this information? Can I have a full screenshot? I assume your device shares the same firmware with the US version. There is no need to choose the region manually.

I would also suggest enabling the Reboot Schedule to restart the device regularly when the internet is idle.

My AX53 V1 is working well so far with my new ONU today.

I'm a bit confused why I can't see my network, my PC is now just "Workgroup" maybe enable SMB 1.0?

Router automatically enabled UPnP and set up my Plex, I only use locally, so may disable that.

I have a public IP address.

overall a confusing setup, like when I look at the routing - nothing makes sense.
