Unreliable connection for ios devices
Unreliable connection for ios devices
I have two be65. Android, Windows and MAC computers working great over wifi, but all iOS devices keeps loosing internet connection even though they seems to be connected to wifi. Other iOS disconnects and use mobile suddenly. The only solution is to reconnect to wifi then it works for some time. I have turned off beamforming, fast roaming and disabled mesh but still issue persist. Very frustrating. Same issue before I upgraded to the latest preview firmware. All bands have a same wifi name.

Hi, welcome to our community.
May I confirm the model and OS of your iOS devices?
Which Deco and wireless band are your iOS devices connected? You may check on Deco app.
Here are some suggestions for your reference:
1. Set manual DNS to 8.8.8.8 on the iOS devices.
2. Set the client connection preference for the iOS devices following this guide and make sure the IP address of it is distributed by Deco system.
3. Please enable guest network and connect your iOS devices to test the stability.
Please feel free to share more details if needed.
Thank you and best regards.

Hi, different model from iphone 13,15 to 16 with latest iOS versions. Have manually set DNS to. 8.8.8.8 in the router. What's the point with mesh and fast wifi if I get recommendations to turn it off and only use slow 2.4 band. Then I can just start up my IP providers router, that I got for free. I need a fix, not a workaround to disable all functions and manually set settings on all iOS devices.

Same issue here. iOS devices dropping internet connection, the current workaround is to disable and enable WiFi on the devices and it immediately works again.
Issue persists both with 1.0.8 and 1.0.9 preview.

May I confirm the model and OS of your iOS devices?
2x iPhone 16 Plus
1x iPhone 15 Pro Max
1x iPad Pro 2020 13"
Which Deco and wireless band are your iOS devices connected? You may check on Deco app.
The iPhones are almost always connected to 6Ghz. The iPad Pro is on 5Ghz.
It looks like they are connected to the closest BE65 (I have two BE65).
I've also used network optimization to check for interference, it's rated perfect at the moment.
Here are some suggestions for your reference:
1. Set manual DNS to 8.8.8.8 on the iOS devices.
I've been running with both Cloudflare and Adguards public DNS with the same result.
2. Set the client connection preference for the iOS devices following this guide and make sure the IP address of it is distributed by Deco system.
Done. There is only two BE65 handling the network traffic. I feel like they are running the settings they should be.
3. Please enable guest network and connect your iOS devices to test the stability.
Not tried this yet, but I feel this wont make a difference. I'll try it but I will rather have these devices on the same network.
