@David-TP you guys get threatened by the US government and now FINALLY, start to release updates what a terrible company. TPLink has been exposed.
I will be returning / tossing my TPLink devices. The security options of these routers are laughable.
DoH has been requested since 2019 and we have YET to get it. Can't disable remote access, even IF it's cloud based. No web UI, overall just a terrible product.
I do not recommend any TP-Link products to anyone. This update should've came a LONG time ago and it still doesn't fix the major vulnerabilities.
I personally believe not being secure is a TP-link product goal at this point.
Never coming back to TP-Link or recommending ever again.

Also a bug i noticed, if you manually set the wifi channel, then do an optimization scan, if it changes the channel you can go back into settings and see the channel selection is still on manual instead of turning it back to auto. Subsequent optimization scans will still prompt you to change the channel despite the app already claiming to have changed it.

Hi, Thanks for the update.
It seems that there may have been an adjustment to the Deco APP's firmware push notifications. If there was an unread "Firmware Upgrade" message, it now appears to be automatically prioritized at the top.
I noticed the same thing on my APP.
For the channels issue, to be more specific, do you mean," if we manually set the channel to 11 first, then run the "Network Optimization" and it would change to channel 2. But under the channel selection, it still reported "Manual and channel 11"?

Yes that's exactly what I was seeing but now I cant replicate it. Though I did experience another issue. Manually setting the channel, doing the scan, and it says it's on a different channel. This seems to correct itself it I force close out of the app, reopen it, and do the scan again so I'm inclined to think this is an app issue and not a firmware issue.
See here i set it manually to channel 44, did the scan and it reports its on 36, i go back into setting and its still on 44.

@David-TP not sure what happening here, but I didn't do anything I know of opt into beta/early access updates, but last night overnight I received this update. Sadly this is the second update in a row to wreck my network. Last time with the 1.1.0 update I saw massively reduced speeds that lasted for 24-36 hours after the update. No amount of reboots/restarts of any combination of devices seemed to fix it, but then eventually they resolved on their own and I was back up to full speed again. This time the update happened sometime yesterday or overnight, and I woke up again to a painfully slow network. After checking, all of my wired devices are well below my normal Speedtest values, but between devices on the local network everything is running at full speed.
Here's my setup:
4 BE63's, all now running 1.1.2 software
2.4 Gbit internet from local fiber provider
All nodes are hardwired via TP Link TL-SG3428X-M2 2.5 Gbit switch
My ONT, TP Link switch, and all Decos have been rebooted since the update.
Symptoms:
1. After update, running a Speedtest from the Deco app shows 2.4 Gbit up and down, which is what I expect from my service, and normally what I see.
2. Running a speed test from multiple wired and wireless devices results in inconsistent speeds between 160 and 800 Mbit. Before the updates, when everything was working properly the gigabit devices would show full gig speeds down and up, and the 2.5 devices would show 2.4 Gbit up and down consistently.
3. When running speedtests using iperf between nodes on my LAN, they run at full gigabit or 2.5G depending on the device.
Based on all this I'm perplexed and at a loss of how to solve this. The devices on my LAN seem to be able to talk to each other at full line rate, which would imply the network itself is OK. The Speedtest function in the Deco app is also showing full line rate for my connection, so that implies that my internet connection itself to the main Deco is fine. But somewhere along the way all of my other devices can no longer get full speed to the internet like they normally can. The fact that this has happened twice now after software updates, but worked fine out of the box with the original software is not only confusing, but also very troubling. It makes it hard to trust the system moving forward.
Also, is there anyway to rollback the firmware on these? I'd be interested in going back to an older version to see if it clears up my issues.

The 1.1.2 could revert to 1.1.0 directly via web UI. Since the 1.1.2 version was just released a few days ago, the engineers are concerned about the potential feedback so if possible, it is not suggested to downgrade the firmware directly. I'll follow up on your case via email to ask the engineer for more advice.
