Hardware Version: V6
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20221015 Rel.57595

Hello Support,

I have a Netgear GS108v4 unmanaged switch with a Brother MFC 9970CDW running on it. Brother link

The Brother's MFC 9970CDW IP Address was 10.2.2.133 with built in Ethernet 10/100BASE-TX Network card.

I can ping the Printer from Win 11 via cmd.

The Netgear GS108v4 Switch has uplink features on all Ports.

The Network is running on IP Address 10.2.2.x and Subnet 255.255.255.0

I connected the TP-Link TL-SG608E Switch to the Netgear GS108v4 Switch and gave the TP Switch the static IP of 10.2.2.204.

With 10.2.2.204 I can connect to the TP Website via Firefox.

I connected the Brother MFC 9970CDW to the TP-Link Switch.

After that I can't ping the Printer via cmd and I can't print anymore.

TP-Link Switch:

All Port are on auto.

The Port from the Printer shows me 100MH, Flow control off - off.

Link Status 100Half

TxGooPkt and RxGoodPkt have packages.

No missing packages.

Cable Test are fine.

But the Printer is offline.

When I reconnect the cable from TP-Link to Netgear, I can ping the printer and the printer is running again without trouble.

Right now, there is no plug & play.

Do all Ports have an uplink feature? I can´t find anythink about uplink the installation guide.

Do you have a clue?

Otherwise, I'll sent the switch back and buy a Netgear again.

Thanks

Rene

If not using MTU VLANs any port can be an unplink port. Check the switch use guide - here (page 58).

I beleive your printer should negotiate 100MF (Link Status:100Full) with TL-SG608E.

Try another ethernet cable or another TL-SG608E port for connecting the printer and test again.
