TL-PA4010P V5 - How to Update firmware?
Hi. I have a powerline kit TL-PA4010P V5.
The current version of the firmware is 1.4.0.20.
I checked the official TP-Link page and I see that there is a firmware update, specifically v.2.0.2.
I downloaded the zip firmware file and there are two files inside one ending in .simage and the other in .conf.

In order to update the firmware, I need two files. One .pib and one .nvm.
So, how can I update to v.2.0.2?

The file containing the firmware v.2.0.2 has an "(AU)" in its name, indicating that it is meant to be used with the Australian version of the TL-PA4010P KIT V5.
So, either the TL-PA4010P KIT V5 sold in Australia is indeed made of different hardware than the TL-PA4010P KIT V5 sold elsewhere or someone maybe mistakenly assigned the "V5" to that firmware update package.

I am from Australia and the firmware does not contain any file that can be used to upgrade the firmware.
I am having issues adding this pair of powerlines to my existing powerline network and I was hoping to upgrade their firmware but the file does not exist.

Then I guess that means this particular firmware update should be for the version V6 of the Australian TL-PA4010P KIT, just like its European counterpart, and was mistakenly labelled as "V5".
What exactly are the issues you are facing?
Make sure the existing Powerline devices use the same Powerline standard as the TL-PA4010P, which is called HomePlug AV (or AV2).
Also, when performing the pairing process the two Powerline adapters that are to be paired should be located fairly close together. Only after successfully completing the pairing process should the Powerline adapter be moved to its destined location.

I ended up contacting support and refunding. Those pwoerlines were completely unstable speed wise despite using the same power network as my existing pair of powerlines.
Since I tried adding them to my powerline network my Archer AX55 has been crashing on occasion, and I found this post about the AX55 crashing so it seems I am not alone.
So if it was the powerlines that were faulty or the router I am not sure, but now my router keeps crashing after trying to add the TL-PA4010P.
Since I'm asking, how can it be escalated to fix this possible software bug?
