Hi@Chips82,

The FTTH eir F3000 fibrebox looks like a DSL modem router. Does the ISP access the FTTH eir F3000 fibrebox from the DSL port or the WAN port?

If it is a DSL port, Archer C5400X cannot directly replace the FTTH eir F3000 fibrebox, because the input port of C5400X is a WAN port, which requires an Ethernet cable.

You can set the FTTH eir F3000 fibrebox to bridge mode, or confirm the type of network cable with the ISP. Or, if the cable is confirmed to be a DSL cable, then you need to consider a device that supports the DSL port.

The default Internet connection type is "Dynamic IP" or "DHCP". If your ISP provides different Internet connection types, such as PPPoE, you will have to manually configure it to obtain Internet.

  @Joseph-TP

Thanks for reply.

Yes, all that part is fine. It's the end result of doing all this that doesn't end with a good result as I cannot get the router to connect to the Internet no matter what credentials I use.

 Hi @Chips82,

May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

Fiber box—router )))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Did you contact your ISP to double confirm the internet information? The connection type is dynamic IP or PPPoE?

After you confirm your network configuration information, you can refer to the steps in my previous post to configure the network again.

It is recommended that you can contact your local support to set up the router again.
