Problems with Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation (free download)

I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation and as soon as I try to connect to either one of my two home network routers (Virgin Media and Apple Time Capsule) Windows 8 freezes.
I checked the Compatibility page and it says that this model is compatible with Windows 8. I also manually went into Computer/Manage to make sure the driver was up to date, and Windows 8 says that it is.
I checked the TP Link model page to see if there was a driver I could download and all the drivers only list compatibility up to Windows 7. So is this unit in fact not compatible with Windows 8?
