Hardware Version : WDR4300 v1 00000000

Firmware Version : 3.13.33 Build 130617 Rel.46239n

Hi Everyone,

I've recently set up the TL-WDR4300 Wireless Router.

Its a simple setup, with only using the 2.4Ghz Wireless Settings.

When I move no more then 20 feet away from the router, the signal drops on my laptop from full to only 3 bars.

Its situated in an open concept living/dining area...there is nothing in the immediate area which would disallow the wireless signal from penetrating.

I'm stumped and confused at the same time.

The previous router the TL-WDR3600 had better range and no signal loss.

Can someone please enlighten me as to why this is happening? Maybe there is a setting which has been overlooked?

Firmware Version:
3.13.33 Build 130617 Rel.46239n

Hardware Version:
WDR4300 v1 00000000

Thank you.

1. Wi-Fi Radio Interference
Radio signals from various consumer electronic products can interfere with Wi-Fi wireless network signals. For example, cordless phones, Bluetooth devices, garage door openers and microwave ovens can each take down a Wi-Fi network connection when powered on. You can move your network equipment or (on home networks) change some Wi-Fi radio settings to avoid this problem.
2. Other WIFI networks interference
Other wireless network around your house would weaken the signal from the router. You can try to change the channel on this router.
