Good evening,

I got two Deco xe75 pro I installed and are working fine in router mode. I would like to use AP-Mode though because I got a bunch of devices connected to my modem router and some static IPs and I want to be able to connect to all my devices over the network.

The problem is when I go to AP-Mode most devices don't seem to connect to the WiFi. Also in the app I can no longer see the Deco devices unless I use my smartphone mobile data instead so from outside the network. The devices itself just display the green led. When I'm on the smartphone I use to control the deco and on their wifi it does seem to give me WiFi.

I haven't tinkered with the modem router much I just turned off the WiFi and it runs dhcp by default. I did see the deco devices where on the same subnet, for some reason the satelite one was on a very low number (.250).

Any help to get the ap-mode working is appreciated.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Please reboot your Deco network and update Deco app to latest from Google Play or Apple Store.

May I confirm what is your exact network topology?

Does your modem run as a modem router now?

@Marvin_S I have tried the network reboot but that doesn't seem to fix the issue. I already have the latest version in the play store. I also tried a reset but that didn't work either. My network is the modem router which does not seem to have a bridge mode. So it's the main router in my network. It's directly connected to a bunch of devices including one deco with cable. I turned off wifi on this. The other deco I want to be connected via WiFi but to make it easier I connected it via cable to the other deco. The only other network device is a simple switch I set behind the first deco but not between the two decos. I tried turning of smart dhcp but that doesn't seem to help either. The problem is when I put them on AP mode. When I want to use the network now I put them in router mode which works but isn't ideal.

Hi, thanks for your update~

For your situation, first we may need to check the problem when the Deco works as wireless router mode.

So if it is not ideal, what is the exact problem?

Could you please share the settings you did on your modem router? Only turn off wireless part?
