Model: RE305
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.0.23 Build 230418 Rel.60395n (6985)

Hello,

I have been having issues with my internet cutting out sporadically for milliseconds at a time, perhaps every few hours or twice in an hour or not for a day or so...

I just updated my EU model RE305 V4 from firmware to latest and thought all was well as my download speeds increased from 3-4mbs to 60+ mbs (5GHZ connection)

although I am still having millisecond connection drops and currently trying to figure out if this is the ISP or the repeater causing the issue.

On my router I can see when the internet has dropped andthis dosen't appear to align with the millisecond connection losses I am experencing. Is there anyway to view this information for the RE305? I could not see when logged in via a browser which is connected on the network, I could see a system log but this didn't seem to show anything obvious about a connection loss.

Thanks

 Hi @internutz,

If you are experiencing intermittent wireless connection on the range extender, please refer to the following suggestions:
1. Confirm the extender is properly located based on How to place your wireless Range Extender for optimal reception and performance.
2. Make sure the firmware on the extender is up-to-date.
3. Enable “High Speed” mode if you have a dual-band extender.
4. Disable Parental Control or Access Control (Blacklist/ Whitelist) on the host router if they have been enabled for the extender.
5. Turn off Band Steering (also called "Smart Connect" or "Whole-Home Wi-Fi") and set up different Wireless names for the router's 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz Wi-Fi.
6. Fix the wireless channels on the host router, such as channel 11 for 2.4GHz and channel 48 for 5GHz.
For more details, please refer to What if the Range Extender keeps losing connection?
