Which router has an external arial port ?
We have moved into an old farm house and need to upgrade the router.
The current one is a basic EE router but internet signal is poor.
There is an external aerial mounted on the side of the house but doesn't seem to work with the EE router
I'm looking to see if there is a tp link router that is comparable with Mikrotik external arial (we have no other info on this arial !)
Thanks

Hi @Fdav,
May I know if you have tried to contact EE support to confirm whether there are any settings that need to be modified on the EE router?
If you are considering a TP-Link router, I am happy to recommend one based on your actual usage environment.
Do you use a sim card? If so, you can consider our 4G/5G devices:
If not, please confirm the Internet plan provided by the Internet service provider. Is the cable required to transmit the Internet DSL cable or Ethernet cable?
If it is DSL cable, you should consider DSL modem router; If it is Ethernet cable, you can consider DSL modem router or wireless router.

The EE router doesn't have a port for connecting the external aerial .
yes we use a SIM card from EE and it's a wireless router.

Hi @Fdav,
If you use SIM card as internet source, you can consider 4G/5G Deco.
Here is the FAQ about How to install 5G external antennas may can help you.

Thanks
sorry to reply with a further questions.
The DECO routers mention a wireless mesh system.
We live in a very old farm house so internet signal doesnt travel well through the house. We have run new tp LInk ACP on ethernet cables and plan to connect these to the new router (3 cables).
I cant find a DECO product with more than 2 ethernet ports is there anything else that would suit our needs with ethe same security features that the DECO range offer ?
Sorry I should have mnentioned this in the original post
(sorry for the ignorance)

Hi @Fdav
If you need a device with an external antenna, the better choice is the deco product. If you need multiple Ethernet ports, you can consider adding a switch.
For other 45G routers, we currently do not recommend external antennas.
