Hi, i needed te reset my XE75 set and now i can only connect them with wifi.

As soon as i connect cable the led will blink red and deco goes offline in app.

only the first one is connected with wire to the ISP modem, the other two can only connect wifi. 
 

please help!

 

*Note: just received M4 set from my ISP and they work fine.

So how come XE75 have this problem, could it be a firmware bug?

 

is there a bigger reset then just hit the reset button for about 30 seconds?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

The factory reset only needs 1s. Holding it for much longer will get Deco into firmware recovery mode.

-Do you plan to connect more than 2*Deco XE75s via Ethernet cables to the ISP modem?

If Deco is in "Wireless router mode", only the main Deco can be connected to the modem. If you want to establish an "Ethernet Backhaul", the satellite Deco XE75s could be connected behind the main Deco XE75.

I know how it works, tried all!

I have problems since latest firmware update, so maybe you can see if there are more people with simulair problems.

 

I install first Deco on ISP modem, second deco can only be set up wireless, as soon as i plug cable directly from first deco to secind deco i get errors. Wifi no problem.

At this point there is nothing else connected to deoo's or modem, so:

 

ISPMODEM->Main Deco->second Deco.

For the latest firmware, since you selected Deco XE75_v1, Do you refer to 1.4.5 Build 20241129?

 

I haven't received similar feedback about Deco XE75_V1. There are 2 Ethernet ports left on the main Deco XE75. Does it make any difference which one is connected to the satellite Deco XE75?

 

I noticed you mentioned earlier that:

Do you mean if connecting one of the M4s via an Ethernet cable to the main Deco XE75, the satellite Deco M4 could work well over the Ethernet connection?

 

If you can constantly reproduce this issue, I'd be glad to escalate your case to the senior engineer for further assistance.

M4 setup the same:

 

ISPMODEM->Deco M4 main->Deco M4 second

 

works fine.
