TP-Link RE315 Range Extender
Hello,
TP-Link RE315 Range Extender
I am considering purchasing the RE315 to extend my home network but there are a couple of points on which I'm seeking clarification.
Firstly, the spec says that the RE315 works with any Wi-Fi router, but I can see that the unit is described as a mesh extender and is EasyMesh Compatible. However, in my case the extender will be working with a standard wireless router supporting WiFi5 so I'm concerned that the router may not be recognised by the RE315.
Secondly, I may want to use the access point to set up a powerline network. So rather than using the ethernet port as an input to ceate a wireless connection from a wired connection, I would be using the RE315 port as an output to create a wired connection from a wireless connection. I believe from a previous thread that this is possible, but I would be grateful for clarification.
Many thanks.
