Deco XE75: Tri-Band, but how many radios does it actually have?
Hello, I'm trying to figure out how many WLAN radios the Deco XE 75 devices have.
I know it's a WiFi 6E Tri-Band device, but:
a) Does it actually have 3 separate radios, allowing for simultaneous transmission on all 3 bands (~ simultaneous multiband, parallel multiband)?
b) Or does it only have 1 or 2 radios, with some rapid band switching involved (~ sequential multiband, serial multiband).
What I've found so far:
- It is obviously a tri-band device: WiFi 6E with support for 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz bands.
- Here I saw that it uses a Broadcom BCM6756 chip: Does XE75 V1 have better processor than V2? - Home Network Community
- According to Broadcom this chip has 2 radios (and supporting 3 bands): Dual 2x2 160MHz Wi-Fi 6/6E quad-core ARM SoC BCM6756
So that could mean that it is indeed option B (sequential multiband).... unless XE75 has multiple WLAN chips (e.g. 2 x BCM6756, or BCM6756 and something else, ...)?
