Deco BE65_V2_1.1.0 Supports WireGuard VPN, Channel Selection and More
With the latest 1.1.0/1.1.1 firmware release of Deco BE85/BE65/BE63/BE11000, The historically highly-requested feature- Channel Selection has now been implemented. It allows users to manually choose the Wi-Fi channel/channel Width for the Main WiFi Network(2.4GHz& 5GHz), providing greater control over network performance in high-interference environments.
How to Configure wireless Channel Selection?
Go to Deco APP> Wi-Fi Settings, and Select 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wireless Network. You will find the option to adjust the channel and channel width settings under the Advanced section.
Furthermore, an extra feature- Wireless Network Mode is also added to further improve the overall Mesh Performance.
Optimal Performance- All Deco units will enable the 2.4GHz backhaul and use the same 2.4GHz channel to maximize the wireless backhaul connection speed, then improve the overall network bandwidth.
High Capacity- The Deco system will disable the 2.4G backhaul and All Deco units use different 2.4GHz channels. This mode will improve the 2.4GHz wireless capacity and accommodate more 2GHz clients.
So if you have plenty of 2GHz smart home devices, it is recommended to use the High Capacity mode.
We welcome your feedback on any issues you may have encountered or if you have suggestions for optimizing these two features. Your input will greatly assist in enhancing and expediting the implementation of similar features on other Deco models. Feel free to share your thoughts below!

@ARGamingPK1 thanks for the info! Is there any chance for a firmware update which would allow channel selection?

So to note with these features if you have capacity mode on and manually set your channel for the 2.4 wifi then all decos with have the manually set Channel rather then different channels for each. I prefer it this way as just the channel selection and turning off backhaul was more then enough to fix my 2.4 network. I think a third option should be added to allow the 2.4 to keep the same channel even when on auto channel should someone choose to configure it that way.

Will this be coming to the older hardware version of BE63's? I have a mixture of new and older versions of BE63's so the feature doesn't work and I need it. I did not choose which hardware version I was buying when I bought the units, so it seems unfair I don't have access to this feature. My older hardware is on firmware 1.0.8 - will it be getting a 1.1 compatible update?

Hi, Can I have the hardware version of your Deco BE63?
For V2/2.6, the latest firmware is 1.1.5 which also supports this feature.

I have 3 BE63 V1.6 running firmware 1.0.8 build 20240814 rel. 21902. And I have 1 BE63 V2.6 running firmware 1.1.6 build 20250220 rel. 28737.
I got early releases of firmware from your support team to address frequent disconnects and interference problems (I have a house full of tp-link smart wifi light switches). The firmware did mostly fix that, but I can't switch to high-capacity network mode.
When I remove the V2.6 BE63 from my system the "Wireless Network Mode" disappears from my UI. When I have it added to my system, I have the UI but changing the value fails every time and I cannot actually set it. Which is why it seems to only be supported by V2.6 units.
