Recv no OFFER, DHCP Service unavailable
There are dozens and dozens of discussions about this problem, but no solution.
Two errors, which lead to frequent disconnections:
Recv no OFFER, DHCP Service unavailable
Send DISCOVER with request ip 0.0.0.0 and unicast.....
I'm using TIM (Italy) Fiber FTTC with Public Dynamic IP with PPPoE and VLAN ID needed.
I have no disconnection problems using the modem provided by my ISP.
How do i fix this? I am already using the latest firmware version. Is there some wrong setting, or is it possible to insert the urgency for the correction of this error in the release of a next firmware update?

Hi @TPint
VX230 is a customized device specifically designed for local Service Providers. Its software is tailored to meet the unique requirements of these providers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs. While our technical support team is adept at providing general guidance and suggestions for products with standard, generic firmware. However, due to the specialized nature of the firmware on your device, our ability to provide troubleshooting may be limited.
We can certainly offer some troubleshooting tips that may help resolve your issue. Please consider the following:
1. Usually, a device only needs to set up one internet connection type, such as dynamic IP or PPPoE. You need to confirm with the ISP which connection type to use. As for the VLAN ID, it also depends on the ISP.
2. vx230v is a modem router. Is the cable from the ISP device Ethernet cable or DSL cable? If it is the former, you need to set up Internet Connection in EWAN Router Mode. Otherwise, you need to set up Internet Connection in DSL Modem Router Mode.
For details, please refer to page 18 of the following user guide:
If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend contacting the technical support of your Service Provider who supplied the device, as they are best suited to provide the necessary assistance for your device.

The entire connection is correct, the fact is that this problem occurs with many other models, both modems and TP-Link routers.
Just search here in the forum for phrases like "Recv no OFFER" and a lot of discussions will come up.
What I'm asking is if it is possible to list as URGENT the fixing of this problem, which is at the firmware level.
Could you forward it to the technical department?
