Model: Archer TX20U Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I am using a Raspberry Pi 5 with Kali Linux installed, running the kernel version 6.6.45-v8+. I am trying to set up a TP-Link Archer TX20U Plus WiFi adapter, but the system does not recognize the adapter. I tried to build the driver from the TP-Link website, but I ran into an issue: my kernel version (6.6.45-v8+) is not available in the kernel headers directory for download. Without the appropriate kernel headers, I am unable to compile the driver.

I’ve already tried the following:

  1. Ensured that USB ports are functional.
  2. Searched for precompiled drivers or patches for this kernel version.
  3. Attempted to update the kernel or kernel headers without success.

What steps can I take to either obtain the missing kernel headers or make this adapter work with my current setup? Are there alternative drivers or configurations I can use?

kindly help me running this adapter on my kali machine and help me saving money toosad

Hi,

If the USB ID of your TX20U Plus is either 2357:013f or 2357:0141, then try this driver https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8852au .
