Problem Solved - Slow & Intermittent WIFI
Hi everyone. Last week I reported very slow or intermittent wifi. It came after I did the latest firmware update. For anyone who has the same issue, I ended doing a hard reset and reinstalling all my devices. It took a bit of time, but was worth the effort. What I did different this time was create a separate channel for the IOT devices (eg smart lights, LED Wifi controllers, Wifi plugs etc), a feature that is available within the Deco App. Putting the IOT devices on its own dedicated IOT channel has solved all the issues. The main 5Ghz Channel and in particular, the 2.4Ghz Guest Wifi channel, is now free of all IOT devices. Best of all, as I added each one to the new IOT channel, I was able to see them pop up in the Deco app and label them accordingly. This has made it very easy to see what's online/offline at any time. Just a tip, when adding personal devices like phones and tablets, bring them up within the DECO App, on both the 5GHz and 2.4Ghz channels and label them the same. That way, if you ever switch frequencies on your device at home, your device name will stay the same. Hope this helps anyone who has experienced the same issue.
