Hey,

I've just recently bought this TP-Link after having never owned one before, so I'm new to setting these up and figuring them out.

The TP-Link works perfectly fine, the set up was smooth and easy, but one thing I'm not understanding is why it is cutting my 5G output in half. Is there a way for it to output the 5G?

TL-WA850RE supports only 2.4 Ghz band according to its tech specs - details,

On the other hand make sure that you're with its latest firmware v1.0.13 - here.
