Hi there,

After buying the extender kit I ran into an issue which is that almost all of the sockets in my household are sideways. I have tested the connection and it does seem to be fine when using them sideways, but I noticed that the devices did seem to heat up pretty quickly. I then tried out testing them by plugging them in through a plug adapter that allows them to be upright (a 2 plug adapter directly into the wall, not a power strip), and the connection does seem to take a slight decline (around 10-20mbs less for both upload and download) but the heating issue seems to decrease by a noticeable margin.

My question is, since I don't seem to have another option, which is best (less worse); using it through the plug adapter or using them sideways? Does using them sideways actually affect overheating or not?

Many thanks in advance,

Adrian

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Usually, it is more suggested to plug the powerline units into wall sockets directly for normal and proper usage.
