Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 5001.19.113.2

I have Windows 10, and the hotspot's creation depends on the Internet connection. If I am connected via 2.4 GHz, the hotspot that will be created will also be 2.4 GHz, and similarly for 5 GHz (I can't choose a specific band for the hotspot).

Since the new driver release (Archer TX20U Plus(US)_V1_5001.19.113.2_win10_win11), I can't create a hotspot under a 5 GHz connection, (although in 2.4 GHz mode, everything works)

However, in the previous version (Archer TX20U Plus(US)_V1_5001.15.129.0_Win10_Win11) I do succeed to create 5 GHz hotspot

Update:

The problem was also reproduced in a previous version, but I noticed that if I define a specific channel (e.g. 36) in the router settings (under the 5Ghz settings) then the issue does not happen

On the other hand, if the channel is set to "Auto" (which is the default), then the issue occurs

Maybe it will help to analyze this issue

Hi,

What channels are supported by your Wi-Fi router? Only the ones visible in your screenshot or more?

Note that if you router broadcasts on a Wi-Fi channel that requires DFS, then creating a hotspot with the TX20U Plus on that channel will most likely not be possible.
I don't own a TX20U Plus in particular, but my similar USB Wi-Fi adapters don't support creating a hotspot on a channel that requires the use of DFS (channels 52-64 and 100-140). I assume the hardware just doesn't support it.
