Hi,

 

My 4 Deco S7 devices no longer function properly.

I have a master device setup as the router and connected straight to the fiber.

 

Fiber is working 100%.

 

After rebooting main deco s7 device, all devices connect to the WiFi, then one by one they start disconnecting and they cannot reconnect. When I try reconnect a device, the 'connection failed' message is displayed on the device.

 

Forgetting the WiFi network and attempting connection again yields the same results. I have to reboot the master deco s7 then can briefly connect until it disconnects again.

 

What can I do? Or do I have to take the Decos back?

The system has worked flawlessly for about 8 months now.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Would any Deco S7 turn red during the disconnection?

Please turn off "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" on the Deco APP>More>Advanced.

 

Here is the latest beta firmware for Deco S7. 

Deco S7_1.5.1_build_20240711_Beta

If possible, please try to install this firmware first to see whether it helps.

  @SandroMG 

Hi, I see a new firmware 1.5.2 is ready for release now. You could pay attention to the firmware notification through the Deco APP or official websites.

  @David-TP fwiw - I have this exact same issue with the S7's. After power down of everything, including devices and routers, things are working. Slowly, some cameras etc., eventually drop off the network and never come back on their own. This leads to constant resetting of devices when I can every week (which happens after a few days).

 

I am already running the beta mentioned.  Once I get access to the release, I will install and update if it resolves the issues, or not. Fingers crossed.
