Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20240716

I have a hard wired to the router main unit and 3 other units wired via the mains circuit. The main unit drops out repeatedly with the LED showing solid red and the other units flashing red. I have to restart the main unit to regain the connection. The firmware is up to date, please help!

Hi, Welcome to the community.

Is Deco P9 working in "Wireless router" or "Access Point" mode?

Would there still be any IPV4 address on the Deco APP when the main Deco P9 turned solid red?

When Deco dropped out, can you still get an internet connection from the ISP modem/router?

Here are some suggestions for your reference:

1. Replace a new cable to connect the main Deco P9 to the ISP modem/router.

2. Set a different Deco as the main Deco.

How to replace the main Deco with another Deco

Thank you very much and best regards.

I have exactly this issue. I have had a deco repeatedly start flashing red and dropping connections. I have tried rebooting, resetting all decos, switching the decos anround and have even put in an Ethernet backhaul cable so there is no reliance on wireless or Powerline… and still the same problem. I had a similar problem with v1 deco p9’s, and so I bought some v2s. The issue is the same and suggests that, like so many others reporting this issue, this is a firmware bug that needs addressing, Can anyone help, or are the P9’s now destined for the big e-waste pile?
