Hi, I have a Deco system with 3 P7 and 3 M4R in AP mode wired to 2 distribution switches. My ISP has sent me a new router Mitrastar GPT2742 and when I installed it, only the main router appears stable connected thru Ethernet. The rest of the APs are flapping Ethernet and WiFi backhaul.

i think that, for some reason, this new router is detecting the DECO backhaul as a loop and it is dropping the interfaces ( the main deco is connected directly to one of the router ports).

is there any way to prevent this or disable mesh feature so that I can keep my network up?

thanks

  @kiliclat

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you use any Network switch to establish the Ethernet Backhaul?

- If yes, can I have the model number of the switch?

Can I also have a picture of the current network topology of the new router Mitrastar GPT2742 and 6*Deco units?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP this is the network diagram. Note that with the older Askey HGU router everything has been working for years. I have asked the ISP if there is any LD or STP feature in the router that I could disable but they don't have the answer.

just as a side note, my P7s are running a fw version created time ago by your support to disable PLC back hauling that was giving us a headache. 1.4.9 Build 20201217 Rel 53797

every time I've tried to upgrade to the latest release, P7s started to flap and lose IP address

hope this helps

Btw, as you can imagine there are many other devices connected in the network that I didn’t include for clarity
