Cannot connect DS720+ to TP Link Deco BE65
To establish a mesh WiFi in my house, I have bought a TP Link Deco BE65 system that I use as internet router as well. I have connected my Synology DS720+ NAS to the main Deco access point via Ethernet, but unfortunately the device does not appear in my network.
I have tried rebooting, different LAN ports, to no avail.
Finally, I set up my old router again, and was able to connect to the NAS via the second LAN port, and its old DHCP assigned IP address of 192.168.2.138.
Checking the second LAN port, it appears that the NAS is assigned an IP address outside the allowed range of the TP Link Deco (192.168.68.50 - 192.168.71.250, not editable).
To circumvent this issue, I have reserved a specific IP (192.168.70.121) for my NAS in the Deco app, and tried to put the settings for a static IP address on the NAS. However, this still does not work.
I have owned many routers over the years, but have never encountered such an issue. Any advice on what to do?
