Model: TX201
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 10.56.119.2022

I've installed a TX201 adaptor in my PC (the onboard is a 100/1000 port) thinking I'd take advantage of improved speed of my home network (TP-link Deco BE65, 2.5GbE ports) and internet connection (2000/2000 fibre connection), but doing a speed test now shows I'm now getting 450/450Mbps, whereas previously I was getting 950/700Mbps. This effect is visible by running speed tests one after the other and swapping the ethernet cable between the ports.

The TX201 is showing that the network is a 2.5GbE connection, so I'm not sure what's going on. Any suggestions?

I should note that I tried running a speed test on measurementlab and using the onboard ethernet I get retransmission rates <0.3%, but using the TX201 I get a retransmission rate >25%

Hi,

Is it directly connected to the main Deco?

Please also provide the following information for us to check:

1. The network topology.

2. The screenshots of the speed test results and the retransmission rate result.

3. The specification of your Ethernet cable and the computer operation system.

  @Marvin_S

Hi Marvin - I'm having the exact same issue on my end.

I have a TX201(UN) v1.0 PCIe Network Adaptor. Driver = 1125.7.318.2022. PC is running Windows 11 latest. Cat 8 Ethernet cable.

The speed at my gateway is about 1.8GBps but only getting around 500-600MBps on the PC with this network card. I have a direct wired connection to the gateway.

Looking for some help as it seems somehow specific to this network adaptor.

Thanks!

Mike
