I've just ordered an Archer BE3600 Dual-Band Wi-Fi 7 Router over Amazon to use as my primary router for a fiber internet system. (Sonic in Oakland, CA is my provider, if that makes any difference, and I've checked with them about compatability.) I have a small enough apartment, I probably won't need a range extender, but I'm shopping around different models in case it turns out there are slow zones in one of my rooms that would merit buying one. I would probably want to go with an EasyMesh router rather than a OneMesh, all things being equal.

I see that all of the current extenders are listed by their 'A' or 'AX' model compatability and the router I'm getting is from the BE series. So my question is, which extenders are most compatable? The AX3000 ones? AX5400? Or something else?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

Hi, welcome to the community.

Since Archer BE3600 is the WiFi 7 standard, both AX3000 and AX5400 are still Wi-Fi 6. If you are not in a hurry, there will be WiFi 7 range extenders, such as RE235/655BE coming soon. Otherwise, RE815XE, the WiFi 6E standard, also supports EasyMesh, which seems to be a better choice.
