I already ordered a DECO XE75 to build up a mesh wifi system. Originally I intended to connect it to a 4G SIM TP Link Archer MR600. Now i have the opportunity to receive a 5G signal. Can I buy a Deco X50 5G, connect it via Ethernet Backhaul to the XE 75 units to get the triband wifi advantage, or will the Deco X50 5G limit the system to AX300...?

  @Old_Dude

Welcome to the community.

Deco X50-5G will not limit the Deco Mesh system to AX3000.

However, many software features of Deco follow the main Deco, such as the VPN server/client. So When mixing Deco XE75 with Deco X50-5G, some features that are currently only supported on Deco XE75 might not be available when Deco X50-5G is the main Deco.

Thank you very much and best regards.

Thank you for this information.

If I reflect whyt you are saying, the following question arises:

would it be possible to use one XE75 as the main deco and add the x50-5G with the internet connection via SIM as a kind of node, satelite, meaning that it works only as a modem and not as the system router, which could be in this case still one of the XE75?

  @Old_Dude

Bringing this up again, could the x50 5g work only as a modem?
