Hello, I have three XE75 Pro working in AP Mode. I have recently replaced my Sky TV with EE TV. The problem I have is that when using WiFi for the live TV Streaming, the stream is not watchable even when a hardwired XE75 Pro device is right next to the EE TV box. If I hardwire the EE TV Box, it all works perfectly.

From what I can read on all the forums, I need support for multicast. I have looked and can not see any settings for this in the App or in the Web UI, but again from what I have read, I beleive this should be enabled by default. I tried turning off "Mesh Technology" for the device and disabling "BeamForming" and "Fast Roaming" but made no difference.

What can I do to get a stable live TV Stream via WiFi?

  @ScottG69

Hi, Did the EE TV box support 5GHz?

- If yes, it is suggested to disable the 2.4Ghz on the main network and connect the EE TV box to 5Ghz only to see whether it helped.

If possible, it is also suggested to temporaraily leave the main Deco XE75 Pro only in case EE TV didn't refer to the multiple Mesh units.

Moreover, may I know the model number of your main Wi-Fi router?

Before adding Deco XE75 Pro into the network, did EE TV box work with the old Wi-Fi router?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP thanks for the response.

Yes EE TV Box does support 5Ghz, but I cant disable 2.4Ghz as I have many other devices that only support 2.4Ghz. I have forced 5Ghz and a single AP in the Connection Preferences, but this did not make any difference.

It is challenging to go down to a single unit as they are in very different parts of the house. But as you will see from above, I did force the connection preference to manadate a single AP.

The Main Deco Unit is a XE75 Pro, is that what you mean? Or ar you refering the BT HomeHub 2, that I use to connect to the brodband only, there is no WiFi enabled.

With regards working prior to installing the Deco Units, I cannot tell you as the TV came after the Deco Unit....

If you read all the forums, it is clearly a problem with support for Multicast as there are several posts for this. EE/BT also state that their WiFi solutions support multicast for this very reason.

Does this help?

Scott
