Can my TL-WDR6300 WiFi Router be used as a range extender?
Hi, I have been given a TL-WDR6300 (also has AC1200 written on the sticker on the base) and I am wondering if I can add it to my existing WiFi network to use as a range extender?
(Note that my router WDR6300 is not listed, but this form requires a Model to be entered so I chose A10 at random)
Thanks in advance!
Peter.

Hi,
It seems the TL-WDR6300 is a router model that is destined for the Chinese market. Does yours actually have a non-Chinese GUI?
Anyway, according to its user manual it should offer the WDS feature. (to be configured via the 2.4GHz and 5 GHz wireless settings menus)
Whether the TL-WDR6300's WDS works in combination with your main Wi-Fi router you will have to test by yourself.

@PeterEdward1965 Hi Woozle - my gf brought it from China and I am yet to look deeply into it. I am guessing it will all be in Chinese.
Thanks for your reply and will give it a go.
Cheers,
Peter.
