Hi, I recently moved house in the UK and needed to setup a 5G home broadband solution and I'm having a lot of trouble getting it to work.

I have an EE SIM card in a Deco X50-5G and three Deco X55 to setup a mesh across the house. Initial setup was fine but I now have a lot of issues that frankly make the system close to useless. I have beamforming and fast roaming switched off and latest firmware installed.

1. iPhones and iPads connect and access internet but games like Roblox don't connect to internet.

2. Ring doorbell and cameras don't seem to connect at all. I've tried setting up a 2.4GHz guest network with only alphanumeric network name and password but still no joy.

3. Windows laptops work but display some off behaviour eg periods when some websites work and others don't (but do work on other devices).

4. Samsung TVs and Alexas will connect to wifi but not the internet.

Has anyone else had issue like this and found a solution? In my previous house I had virgin fiber using a Google mesh and didn't have any problems at all!

I am a few days away from sending all the Deco stuff back and trying something else - although I don't find many other options available!

Thanks!

  @ASykes2929

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the current firmware version on your Deco X50-5G and Deco X55?

If possible, you could test whether the following suggestions work or not:

1. Deco X50-5G_V1_1.1.5 supports "Bridge mode".

- If possible, please try to use the 3*Deco X55 to create a separate Mesh system.

How to Create a New Network in the Deco App

- then set the Deco X50-5G as a 5G modem only(without router/DHCP functions).

2. Connect all the Home devices to the Mesh network of Deco X55.

3. Under the Mesh system of Deco X55, you could refer to this link to set the IPv4 DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4.

How to change DNS server settings on my Deco

Wait for your reply and best regards.
