I have a setup consisting of 4 deco m4s. 1 the main one and 3 other. one of them has the option to connect to either the main one or one of the other two ones. The other two though dont have that option, somehow. i want to do kind of a chain connection, basically conecting deco m4(1) to main, deco m4(2) to the deco m4(1) and the deco m4(3) to deco m4(2), which i cant do without that feature. The network is on access point mode and all of them are suposedly up to date, but in different versions, somehow.

Hi, For Deco M4_V2, the current official firmware doesn't support connection preference yet.

You could install the beta firmware here to test this feature first:

i was going to update them with the version 1.7.0 (dont know if it has the connection preference but was the latest i think) and i realised that 2 of he m4s were v2 and the other two were v4. How can i select just certain devices to get update because as it seems through the website, if i update, all 4 would update.

You can login to Satellite Deco by opening its IP address in a browser. From there, you can update firmware for that Deco unit only.
