Hi,
Thanks for posting in the community.
I have checked the screenshot you posted, could you please offer more information about the issue you met? Do you find the speed you get is slow or what else?

Hi,
I don't have yet any problem with my new router.
I just wanted to let others know how fast the BE230 connected usb ssd works.

i cant get past 100MB/s with this unit on wifi. bitrate drops from 2000 to 860 once transfers start, tried mu-mimo ofdma off, flow control off, etc. cat6a 2.5g port from a pc is 280MB/s easy. wireless is ... sub par so far. my netgear wifi extender can do 120MB/s , same setup (wifi5, 160mhz) thoughts?
@deebzc Are you talking about the USB transfer speed when connecting to BE230's Wi-Fi network? Or you're reporting a speed issue with the Wi-Fi connection?
Can you please provide more details?
1. What is the Wi-Fi client device you're connecting to the BE230's wireless network?
2. Does it connect to the 6G network or the 5G network, what is the link speed?
3. What is the brand, and capacity of the USB drive that is attached to the BE230?
Thank you very much.

Thanks for posting these speeds.
Could you confirm the setup while this was being tested, please? Was it USB sharing with client on WiFi or Ethernet?
Edit: Just saw it was ethernet. Have you had a chance to confirm with WiFi?
Also, are the speeds better / worse than AX73, in case you've had a chance to compare both?
Looking for a new budget friendly router, but USB sharing over WiFi is a priority.

After my testing the BE230 usb share is roughly 2 times faster than the AX73 via ethernet cable when using PC's 2.5 Gbps LAN port.
With Wifi i am not sure which is better because i have only tested with two device and the other was better with AX73 and the second was better with BE230.

I see for second time that pendrive in USB port is again not visible in my BE230 (as a drive for network sharing). BE230 is in AP mode.
Added: 1.1.3 Build 20241211 rel.47943(4555) Archer BE230 v1.0
It is also very hot when I am touching it.
Is it not for pendrives?
It is 128GB, exFAT formatted. To be precise after taking it off and putting agan in, it shows as 'Universal PHILIPS (114.3 GB)'.
That is what I can see in log. There was nothing fresh in log so I cleared it before going to router to reconnect it and fresh entries appeared.

Copying now 827MB mp4 file to it was at 8.1 MB/s (about 64Mb/s), so nice enough. Via WiFi from old HP laptop with Ubuntu. Maybe not direct but via ethernet backhaul from AX53 in mesh.
Probably in time between those two log entries was that transfer:

There is no category 'USB' (or something like that) in drop down list with log categories. That is all what is in 'All' category visible now.

@lemiel After the pendrive disappeared, how did you get it back? Just unplugging it from the USB port and then plugging it back?
What is the brand of the pendrive? Have you ever tested with any other USB drive or HDD?
Was there any specific activity that triggered the issue?

@Kevin_Z I did not try another pendrive. It is Philips, bought in Action shop. Will try another pendrive.
Now I checked, again not visible.
What I did lastly? I am no sure, took it off, checked on computer, Windows show that it has to be repared, did this. Put it in again into BE230.
Today I only took it off, wait few seconds and put it in again, is visible again.
I have set reboot every sunday at 5am.
System Log like that again - bad time... It is 2025-03-31 19:09:48 now. And NTP is set.
Log from 2024-12-11 is again visible and

Thank you very much for the details.
Please test the USB functionality of the BE230 with a different drive or HDD first. Ensure that the drive or HDD is working properly when connected to a PC or another router.
If the issue persists, we will escalate your case to our support engineers for further investigation.
